What are Parent Resources?
Let’s be honest. As parents we often struggle to know how and when to talk about faith and Jesus with our kids. We all hope to have casual God-conversations throughout the week, but as the week begins our best intentions to chat about God with our kids often get overshadowed by our busy schedules. Since this is a very real struggle, we want to help make these conversations a little more doable for your family.
If you have any questions about how to best utilize these resources please don't hesitate to contact Dawn Jackson dawn@vintagechurch.org

"Parents are the most important apologists our kids will ever know. Mama Bear Apologetics will help you navigate your kids’ questions and prepare them to become committed Christ followers.” — J. Warner Wallace
The problem with lies is they don’t often sound like lies. They seem harmless, and even sound right. So what’s a Mama Bear (or Papa Bear!) to do when her kids seem to be absorbing the culture’s lies uncritically?
Mama Bear Apologetics is the book you’ve been looking for. This parent-to-parent guide will equip you to teach your kids how to form their own biblical beliefs about what is true and what is false. Through transparent life stories and clear, practical applications—including prayer strategies—this band of Mama Bears offers you tools to train yourself, so you can turn around and train your kids.
Are you ready to answer the rallying cry, “Mess with our kids and we will demolish your arguments”? Join the Mama Bears and raise your voice to protect your kids—by teaching them how to think through and address the issues head-on, yet with gentleness and respect.
We don’t have to lose the next generation to culture. In this practical guide, John Stonestreet and Brett Kunkle explore questions including:
- What unseen undercurrents are shaping twenty-first-century youth culture?
- Why do so many kids struggle with identity?
- How do we talk to kids about same-sex marriage and transgenderism?
- How can leaders steer kids away from substance abuse and other addictions?
- How can we ground students in the Biblical story and empower them to change the world?
- With biblical clarity, this is the practical go-to manual to equip kids to rise above the culture.
The student edition of the popular A Practical Guide to Culture by John Stonestreet and Brett Kunkle delivers a hopeful message to readers ages 15–25 who live every day with increasing cultural pressure. These young people struggle to navigate contemporary challenges to their Christian faith and values, but will be encouraged to emerge as leaders.
In A Student’s Guide to Culture, Stonestreet and Kunkle write in a highly relational style, sharing insight and experience. Jumping off from the original version, this guide includes all-new discussion questions and stories that remind young readers that they can live differently and be a light in a culture that sometimes feels overwhelming.
Bestselling author of the book, Keeping your Kids on God’s Side, Natasha Crain JUST launched a podcast in January 2021! In her show, she helps equip Christians to think biblically about worldviews, apologetics, culture, and parenting in a challenging secular world.
Do you long to be intentional about raising your kids to be passionate Jesus followers? Do you wish for a thriving marriage? A thriving life? Each week Phil and Diane Comer, along with Brook and Elizabeth Mosser, bring Biblical hope and practical help in the how of life, marriage, and parenting. We invite you to join the conversation!
