Common + Unity
If the global pandemic is doing anything, it has magnified what was important/not important and what is essential/not essential. Most of all, sheltering in place revealed for everyone, everywhere: community is not optional.
In a time where we are more nationally divided than ever, the Church has the opportunity to stand in the gap and offer a vision for a different kind of community beyond shared interests, ideals, preferences or politics. The Church brings together what Scot McKnight calls a “fellowship of differents” in which commonality, authentic connections, and spiritual growth is built on the person of Jesus for the sake of His mission.
In this series we will explore the elements of a Jesus-centered community along with practical steps we can take toward making that vision a reality as we work towards being a worshiping community of missional theologians.
